The OLPC paper #1 is in the bag. I just printed it without double-siding and I feel like a bit of a mean anti-environmental jerk, but I often wonder if professors prefer it one-sided and right now i am into anything I can do to keep my average above the "goodbye grade point average" mark.

Stats:

23 pages including footnotes.

45 footnotes in total (there are plenny ibids though).

5513 words about development and childproof laptops.

I am totally addicted to Facebook. It's not even funny anymore.

I was talking to a friend about organizing a 'face-fest'. That would be a day when we bring our laptops to one place, get massively drunk and hack all of our relationship details.

There are many people I am dying to 'daughter' but I worry that they won't get the joke (come to think of it what is the joke - I don't know but ned 'daughtered' me and I laughed my face off).

The other idea is to start tagging random strangers with the word "godlike" or 'majestic" just to see what kind of feedback that generates. The last idea of course is a poke attack, that would involve lots and lots of people poking one person until they lose their patience.

So I am up to page three of my essay, which underwent a sea change about 15 minutes ago when I realized I didn't hate the theorist I was reading (Though I still hate his writing style.) - I was just not viewing his work in context - Oh....So it is all about the context.

The essay I am critiquing is about reclaiming queer space and it would read like the most identity politics laden piece of annoying late 90's triteness, save for my brief foray onto the internet (god love the internet) where I found this timeline of 90's queer history.
